Story
About me
I’m Gusia, an artist from Odesa, Ukraine. The war forced me to leave my home country. I now live and work in Israel — a country that has found a special place in my heart and become a source of inspiration.
I paint in oils on canvas. I’m drawn to moments when the familiar becomes unexpected: headlights on a night street, reflections in windows, vivid colour against a dark background. My work brings realistic details together with bold colour choices, spanning cityscapes, portraits and pop art.
Between 2022 and 2025, I participated in group exhibitions in Tel Aviv, Ra’anana and Netanya.
Original oil paintings for your home — from Gusia’s studio
My name is Gusia. I was born in Odesa, and I live and paint in Israel. I work in oil on canvas — portraits, Israeli cityscapes, still life and pop art. Every painting you see here is a single original work: not a print, not a copy, not an edition.
A painting for the living room, bedroom or kitchen
Most messages I receive start with “we’re looking for paintings for the living room”. A large oil painting above the sofa turns a blank wall into the heart of the home — works like “Serenity” (100 × 120 cm) or “Free to Be” (80 × 90 cm). A bedroom suits a calm painting in soft tones; a kitchen or dining area suits warm still life like “Artichokes”; a hallway or study suits a small piece like “Hadera” (40 × 40 cm).
What you’ll find in the gallery
Tel Aviv at night through a car window, palms and a sunset over Hadera, a moment of prayer at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, portraits of women in bold colours. Each painting has its own page with several photos — the whole work, close-up details, a side view, and sometimes the painting in a real room — plus its size and technique.
Alongside the paintings there is apparel and merch: T-shirts printed with my paintings, for anyone who wants to carry the colour with them.
